Mellow Fellow came about understanding the need for the budget travellers segment. Our main property 100 petals, a boutique hotel located within Gangtok was a guiding light to understand this segment of the market. 100 petals created a huge relationship with adventure enthusiasts and experience seeking guests. Many times over the years, we tried our best to accommodate and help many travellers at a low budget, but then we decided it would be better if we create a separate entity – “Mellow Fellow” to help this segment. The idea was a success from day one; we could cater both the segments of travelers.

The idea to cohesively help the young travellers achieve their experience when they come to Sikkim to explore. The market has various pricing standards, but if you get good guidance, you can get good experience at a low price which will be equivalent to value based pricing. So our aim is to give the best local experience by being a true travel guide as a friend to help you get the best of Sikkim at a very minimum cost, just as we, locals do.
Mellow Fellow started its operation in Oct 2021. We are a team of 8 individuals (3 girls and 5 boys). #MF has catered to a good number of budget backpackers and travelers in a short time. Another big segment that we catered was for the work from home groups/ Solo workers/ couple workers. The property houses 5 major restaurants of Gangtok city, which are very well known among the locals and it's a high traffic area. So convenience is the key for any traveler for any of their requirements.
The Hostel - Mellow Fellow s located in the heart of MG marg. Axis for everything in Gangtok. All the major facilities ( Casinos, music pubs, eateries, pastry, shopping center and taxi stand, Bike rentals/ mountain bike rentals / Tour guide/ parking lots for self driven cars/ bikes are in walking distance from the property).
